I believe that offering affirming, systemic care means staying in a constant practice of learning, unlearning, and reflection. Whether I’m supervising new therapists or presenting on queer-adjusted systemic frameworks, I strive to hold space that is rigorous, curious, and deeply relational.
I have been in the therapy field for 17 years, and supervising and presenting for all of them! I have the duality of excellent work and experience as a therapist with my long history of supervising and training, and you can be sure that I will bring my full professional self to your supervision or training. I have specific expertise, including brand-new model development, that has already recieved wonderful feedback from supervisees and trainees.
Thank you for making a warm, safe environment for this conversation!

Former Supervisee, Now Licensed Clinician
I feel incredibly grateful to have had August as a supervisor, as they created a space that was patient, inclusive, and deeply supportive while encouraging honest, growth-oriented conversations. Their integrity, compassion, and clinical insight profoundly influenced my development as a clinician, and I always felt truly seen, heard, and valued. My time with August as a supervisor genuinely shaped the clinician I am today.

Student Testimonial Regarding the QASL Model
Sometimes the models we are taught and use are made to feel untouchable or unchangeable and it is refreshing to see how they can be modernized and adjusted to better fit and support the people we work with.

You’ve always been willing to meet me where I’m at in the moment regardless of the plan that we had going on.
