I’m so excited you would like to know more about my practice! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver and a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Denver Family Institute.
When you walk into my office, you can be comfortable knowing that I have the experience needed to help you and your family members create lasting change. I have over 10 years of experience in the field, ranging from trauma therapy in corrections to community mental health and program management. I particularly enjoy working with queer youth and intimate partner and family relationships, and am the Program Manager at Denver Family Institute when I am not working in my private practice. I also work part-time at Children’s Hospital of Colorado as an Affiliate Faculty Member in the Non-Epileptic Seizure (NES) clinic providing education and resources to children experiencing NES and their families.
As a non-binary pan/lesbian person, it’s very important to me that my practice affirms all identities, types of relationships, and experiences. My practice is queer-informed, meaning that I bring personal and professional experience when I work with those in the queer community; in fact, I began training providers over a decade ago to work compassionately and effectively with the queer community.
My methods of therapy include:
- Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy couples and families techniques
- Solution-Focused Family, Couples, and Individual Therapy
- Experiential Family, Couples, and Individual Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills
- Trauma-Informed Therapy
I live in Denver with my wife, son, and daughter, as well as our cat Ginny and dog Granger. I’m a music lover, a self-professed nerd, and an active member in Denver’s LGBTQIA community.
