I’m so excited you would like to know more about my practice! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver and a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Denver Family Institute.
When you walk into my office, you can be comfortable knowing that I have the experience needed to help you and your family members create lasting change. I have over 15 years of experience in the field, ranging from trauma therapy in corrections to community mental health and program management.
As an agenda pan/lesbian person, it’s very important to me that my practice affirms all identities, types of relationships, and experiences. My particular area of interest in working with clients, specifically queer youth. I have developed a new model of systemic therapy, called the Queer Adjusted Systemic Lens, that prioritizes the queer client and experience in relational therapy. This model affirms the emotional experience of each person in the system, and helps the system heal from a queer-affirming stance.
I routinely provide trainings and consultations for agencies and individuals, and find joy in providing group and individual supervision to new therapists.
My methods of therapy include:
- Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy couples and families techniques
- Solution-Focused Family, Couples, and Individual Therapy
- Experiential Family, Couples, and Individual Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills
- Narrative Therapy
- Trauma-Informed Therapy
I live in Denver with my wife, children, and our cat Ginny and dog Granger. I’m a music lover, a self-professed nerd, and an active member in Denver’s LGBTQIA community.
