Family Therapy

Sometimes the best way to solve a problem is to get everyone on the same page.

When I talk to clients, they often seem intimidated by family therapy. Family therapy can definitely be a vulnerable, and sometimes scary, process. It’s also one of the best ways to make lasting change.

Individual therapy can have remarkable, life-changing effects. However, individuals are part of a complex web of relationships, and it is sometimes hard for an individual to maintain their progress in the context of that complex web of relationships. By bringing the entire family in for therapy sessions, I can help create changes in the family that will support each individual’s growth. I feel confident in my skills, and bring knowledge and trainings in models like Emotions-Focused Family Therapy, Virginia Satir’s experiential therapy model, and family-focused Solution-Focused therapy.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I will help you and your family feel comfortable in therapy and the change process. I don’t “take sides” and support one family member over the other; your family relationship is my client. I also understand that families come in all shapes and sizes and I look forward to working with your unique family structure.
